Extract from the report: From the early morning we started on the road to Isfahan in our little bus. When we passed the town of Kashan we were attended by the local director of education and 3 other persons from his office, who wanted to show us some of the attractions in the area and to tell us about the history. This became a very interesting part of the day. We began with the Hammam Fin, the old bath and fountain garden and then we continued to Siak Hills and heard about the history of human settlement there as far as 7000 years back. Then the director offered us lunch and we continued after a couple of hours filled up with good impressions and satisfied with food. Nearer to Isfahan we were contacted by our contact person there, Mr. Hajian the director for gifted students, in Isfahan province education organisation. He took us to our hotel, The Safavi Hotel. We arrived so early that we reached time for a walk to the central square, called Naghsh-e-Jahan Square, now The Imam Khomeni Square. The square with all the beautiful buildings and the picturesque life is what the Americans call a breath-taking experience. Read  all the experiences of the trip |
